Hosted by Mike Roots, "Reggae Explorations" is WAPJ's longest running show, having its start (as "Positive Vibrations") at the station's inception in March of 1997. On "Reggae Explorations" you'll hear a mix of tracks from newer and lesser known artists, classic tunes, and deeper cuts than you would normally hear elsewhere. In addition, you'll be treated to the "Motherland Track of the Week", a "Lovers Rock Set" and even the occasional "surprise" selection, perhaps off the beaten path of the reggae genre. The presenter, being a reggae artist and review writer, gives you an inside perspective with interesting facts to enhance the listening experience. Tune in to "Reggae Explorations" for your weekly excursion into the world of strictly conscious, roots and culture, reggae music.

VOLUNTEERS WANTED
Have you always wanted to host your own radio show? If you have the commitment and dedication, we can provide you with the training you need to produce and host your very own show on WAPJ. We are looking to expand our programming to include educational and informative talk shows as well as programs that will feature music and live performance. Perhaps you would rather help out behind the scenes, lending clerical, technical or maintenance support. WAPJ is fully staffed by volunteers who believe in approaching community service through the medium of radio with an attitude of pride and professionalism. Does this sound like you?
